Inspiration from Momo

If you haven't come across or heard of MadebyMomo in the blogosphere you don't know what you are missing! You can check her out here and on YouTube. Anyway, Momo has asked her followers to create something in which we have drawn inspiration from her creations...(I hope that makes sense); not sure if I worded it correctly : ) But anywhoo here are my creations; she has inspired me to just use my cartridges more; to think outside the box and to really get my creative MOJO flowing!

The card was made using the create a critter cartridge of course; the gator was cut at 2", the birds were cut at 1" and 1 1/4" and the larger one was flipped, the phrase was cut at 1 1/2' and 1 3/4". The pictures are on page 45 and 39 for the phrase. The designer papaer is from the Animal crackers matstack by DCWV...

In Memory of Reshard

These roses are in momory of my son who was killed in a car crash along with 2 of his friends a few years ago;(actually the anniversary is coming up May 5th). We planted this rose as a memorial and there is also a cherub underneath which we call a guardian angel. These pictures were taken 2 days ago and they are still beautiful today......

New Father's Day cards

Here are a few cards I've made so far for Father's Day; I am in the process of also making some for Mother's Day and I will post those later ( I have 10 orders for those already) : )....






I found this shirt pattern from youtube; I will post the creator/link when I come across it again. The letters were stamped, cut out and filled in with glossy accents.

Tuesday Morning Haul

Yesterday I really made out at Tuesday Morning! I got several Tim Holtz grunge kits, several packs of American Crafts Paper, and Fiskars scissors. The main thing was the grunge paper; see more about it here.

This is my entry for the made by momo challenge.




I used the Tie the Knot cartridge: the birds from page 36 cut at 2", the branch and shadow cut at 2". The phrases True Love from page 65 and Forever from page 64 cut at 1 1/2".

What do you think about this?

After viewing all the great videos on youtube re create a critter, and others; but especially create a critter. Today was a veg out day for me (only left the house once; and didn't go to Michaels or Joanns). Anywhoo....I cut out several animals from the create a critter cartridge; so I thought it would be a great idea to cut out sevral of the same size critters and place them in envies with the size they were cut out at.....what do you all think about this idea?

Great pendant for a card or journal

Hello all! I was out today on a deal hunt; didn't really find anything; but daughter and I were able to use 2 of the Aeropostle' $10/$10.00 cpns and got 6 pr of socks for $2.00 and change and a shirt for the same. But check out this pendant that I found at Target it was $3.99 but I thought it was really pretty and I an thinking about incorporating it on a journal...Happy Saturday!

Great Crop Night at Michaels!!!

Wow did we have a blast tonight at Michaels.....instead of trying to tell you about it let me show you some of the fun.....the first three pictures are my card creations....





























The pictures actually start from the up; I didn't realize this until they were all downloaded! But anywhoo; you can tell when the night started by looking at the first few pictures and how clean the tables WERE!

In the pictures where someone is holding the pink star wand is the person that finished a project; then you held onto the wand until someone else completed a project or the timer went off. If the wand was still in your possession when the timer went off you WON a prize! I won 2 prizes tonight......LOL..again we had a blast and can hardly wait until next time.

Purse made from Forever Young

This is the first item I've made in a long time using my cricut; this purse is made from the Forever Young cartridge. At our crop nights at Michaels (which will be this Friday), there is this little one that is so cute and creative that I just had to make something special for her; and here it is! Tell me what you think.....
I cut it out of the gemstones core'dinations paper.

New paper at Michaels

I am literally at Michaels and Joann Fabrics everyday!...anyone else? Well any whoo; this afternoon they finally stocked some new scrapbook paper. I was soooo excited, they have paper that already has swiss dots embossed in it, and the colors are so bright and vibrant. But the best deal is it is on sale for 5/$1.00!! Check it out.
